Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name Is Marge Wilson and I will be serving as a learning support teacher this year at Spring Farms Elementary. As we begin the 2020-2021 school year I will be entering my twenty-fifth year of teaching at Southern Huntingdon County School District. I have had many roles over these years as an Itinerant Learning and Emotional Support Teacher, Learning Support Teacher, Title I Reading Teacher and a 5th, 4th and 2nd Grade Teacher.
One of my favorite expressions is "Bloom where you are planted." This belief has helped guide me throughout my teaching career and life. I am originally from Philadelphia and spent four years teaching there before I moved to Three Springs with my husband, Rick. I am somewhat sentimental and find it really neat that I get to teach in the same school that my husband and two children attended. I am always in awe of the beautiful setting in which I live and teach.
While I am not athletic in any sense of the word, my children have inherited their dad's love of sports. They share a love of basketball, track and golf. I may not share their love of sports but I do really enjoy watching them play. My daughter is starting her senior year at Southern while my son attends Lock Haven University. We also share a love of dogs and have a beautiful and spirited golden lab/retriever named Philly. She is one of the family and spoiled rotten!
